PRODUCTION
Marchant Schmidt, Inc. is a leader in the food and dairy processing equipment industry. Continuing growth of our business has created an opportunity for you to join our team. We are looking for experienced individuals to work in the following areas:
WELDER/ASSEMBLY (2nd shift) Weld and assemble custom equipment for the dairy/food industry. Experienced in layout, blueprint reading and TIG welding of stainless steel.
FABRICATOR (1st & 2nd shift)Fabricate parts for the assembly of custom equipment by operating various fabrication equipment including CNC punch press, brake press, cut-off saw, roller and shear. Must be able to develop layouts and read blueprints.
METAL FINISHING - (2nd shift) Experienced in the use of a variety of methods, abrasives and metal finishing tools to grind and polish stainless steel.
MACHINIST - (2nd shift) Experienced in operating manual lathes and mills, must be able to do your own set ups and manage multiple jobs and tasks.
_______________________________ ELECTRICAL CONTROLS DESIGNER

Responsibilities include: Working as part of a team to conceptualize, design and program control systems for Marchant Schmidt's custom equipment. They will be responsible for the electrical engineering of machinery and electrical systems, including machine program software.

Responsibilities include:
*Design custom equipment in accordance with engineering specifications and USDA/WDA guidelines
*Product design in a SolidWorks format
*Assist in the management of projects, budgets and schedules
*Work closely with customers to satisfy their order needs
*Daily interaction with manufacturing and purchasing teams
