The Slice Orientation Conveyor is designed exclusively to turn stacks of sliced cheese or meat 90 or 180 degrees from the original direction of flow coming from the high speed slicer. The Slicer Check Weigher is located prior to the Slice Orientation Conveyor where rejected product is conveyed to an overhead reject belt. The product is conveyed to the lift point, where the platens lift it off the infeed belt. A cam rail guides the platen through a rotation and then lowers the product onto the discharge belts. From there the product is conveyed into the horizontal accumulator. The products that do not require turning convey up to an overhead bypass and transfer onto the accumulator. Typical applications include: slice cheese, meat shingles or stacks that need to turned prior to the wrapping machine.
