All old flights are removed from the drive and idle rings and are discarded.
Flights (manufactured in our machine shop) are pulled from our extensive on-site inventory.
Our specially designed assembly fixture will maintain correct ring circumference, spacing, and flight location while the new flights are installed to the idle and drive rings.
The new idle ring is precision rolled and fixture welded to precisely match the shape of the drive ring.
A new drive ring will be provided if the existing ring is in unserviceable condition and should be replaced.
Following tack welding on the assembly fixture, the end section is transferred to the weld fixture faceplate where each individual component is clamped in place for final MIG welding.
The final operation is to metal finish edges to remove any weld spatter or burrs that could interfere with can travel.
